Established in 1978 and located in Peterhead, Scotland, Thistle Marine has been the supplier of choice for harsh environment fishing cranes, multi-purpose knuckleboom cranes, winches, rope reels and net handling equipment.  Providing new and refurbished equipment backed up by a reliable, fast reaction 24 hour service and maintenance support.  We stock hold a large quantity of hydraulic components to enable us to react fast to your problem.

Dealing with anything hydraulic and used in a marine environment our team of expert designers, engineers and technicians have successfully completed thousands of bespoke equipment projects.  From active heave compensated winches (AHC) to special launch and recovery systems (LARS) our track record speaks for itself.  We have the ability to adapt, convert and refurbish existing systems adding value by incorporating upgrades increasing long term reliability and serviceability of the equipment

THISTLE DESIGN & ENGINEERING

We are able to offer the complete one stop solution as we design, manufacture, assemble and test all our equipment in-house to relevant industry codes and standards.  All equipment is 3D modelled and fully engineered with FEA and design calculations.  Our in-house manufacturing includes specialist machining and fabrication techniques which are services we also offer to 3rd party companies.  We perform onsite surveys and our team of highly skilled technicians are available for site visits at short notice wherever the location.
